Sarah Morsheimer
RESEARCH LEAD
Sarah is a J.D. candidate and Global Law Scholar at Georgetown University Law Center, pursuing a certificate in Refugees and Humanitarian Emergencies. She supports Project Phoenix as a researcher focusing on policy and narrative change around migrant and refugee issues. Prior to law school, she interned with the UN Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Trials in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Following this, she worked in communications for the Jesuit Refugee Service in Rome, Italy, where she traveled to Malta, Malawi, and South Africa, documenting the experiences of refugees and raising awareness of migrant and refugee issues in Europe and the US. While pursuing her J.D., Sarah has interned for an international human rights NGO based in Tokyo, Human Rights Now, and is currently the Legal Director Georgetown’s chapter of the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP). She has a particular interest in issues related to conflict, forced displacement, and transitional justice.
